Your Chances

See changes over time with results for if you were 10 years younger or 10 years older

Here you can create pie charts which show Your Chances over the next 10 years in two different ways. The pie charts present the chance that someone your sex, race and age will die – from anything - in the next 10 years (the "glass half empty" form) and the chance they will survive the next 10 years (the "glass half full" form). The charts also list the top causes of death that make up this chance.

To generate the pie charts, choose the sex, race, age, and whether to display the top 5, 10, or all available causes of death.

Putting your cursor over a listed cause of death lets you see how its ranking changes over time.
